All app content—including tasks, goals, and settings—is stored and processed locally on your device. No app data is sent to our servers because we operate no backend for this product.

Screen Time / Device Permissions

Eat the Elephant can request Screen Time (Device Activity / App Limits) access to enable core features like blocking distracting apps and supporting focus sessions. This permission is used only to enforce your selected rules on the device. No Screen Time data is collected, transmitted, or stored off-device.

Purchases

Paid features (e.g., subscriptions or in-app purchases) are handled exclusively by Apple’s in-app purchase system. We do not receive your payment information. Apple may process limited data to complete transactions in accordance with Apple’s terms and privacy policies.

Advertising and Third Parties

The app shows no ads and uses no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or marketing. We do not sell or share data with any third party.

Children’s Privacy

Because the app does not collect personal data, it is suitable for use by minors under parental guidance. Parents or guardians can manage Screen Time permissions at the system level. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us, contact us—however, we do not operate any collection channels for this app.

Security

Your data resides on your device within Apple’s sandboxed environment. We encourage you to keep your device updated and protected with a passcode/biometrics and iCloud backups if desired.

International Users

We do not collect or process personal data. If your local laws grant certain privacy rights, you can exercise them by managing or deleting data directly on your device, since we do not hold any copies.
